COURTYARD is a classic sokoban adventure that takes place on a single map. No extra mechanics or gimmicks, just good ol' block pushing.

I originally made this back in 2019 as part of a Puzzlehunt, but recently decided to clean it up and port it into PuzzleScript Plus for public submission.

Contains 1 regular ending (the crown) and 1 secret ending (the holy grail).

Holy Grail Hint (click me)The castle is made up of a 6x6 grid of rooms, and yet if you have reached the crown, you have only entered 35 rooms in total. Curious...

Very nice game. Around 80% of the way to completion I had no idea where to go, but the comments made me persevere (the answer was down 2 blocks of air). The Holy Grail ending reasonably easy to find and satisfying.

i love this game! really fun to play, and all the puzzles were logical. i was confused at times but the answer is so obvious once you find it.

btw, do you have a picture/pdf of the whole map? i want to see how the map looks like (i can't visualise haha)

edit: i made a map!

oh sorry, i somehow forgot about this! (and yes, i found a way to upload images) you should be able to decipher what the colors mean. for anyone else reading this, take note that what comes next is full of spoilers. you do NOT want to look at this unless you're done with the holy grail, as it reveals its location too

I love how everything in this game is used. Not a single block isn't used. Not a single walkable tile is misplaced. And knowing there is no redundancy actually made planning a route slightly easier and using this knowledge was a great feeling. That knowledge led to the rather simple discovery of the Holy Grail ending which was well implemented.

The difficulty of this game comes not from the single screen puzzles but how each screen interacts and the further you progress into the game the further apart the screens that interact with each other are. The simple art allows you to focus on puzzle though I don't think better graphics would go astray.

This is truly a brilliantly made game that doesn't complicate too many mechanics. I highly recommend this puzzle game to anyone who can likes to think outside the box.

Thanks for the kind words!

you only need one of the 2 shortcuts back to the first big green zone

A very neat concept.  Nicely done.

I loved it! Some multi-screen puzzles were quite devious! All praise the undo button! A couple times I had to backtrack quite a bit. But it was still fulfilling to complete the puzzles. I like that you can continue to search for the grail after getting the crown instead of starting over. Hint: That rock at the end is totally sus. Well done! :)

Fun game man, nice job
p.s I found your holy grail :)

Fun game!  It's interesting how certain puzzles end up with a kind of personality.  The save points are nice in how they give the game a chapter-ed feel.  The grail path was pretty neat to see.

haha, i found a secret one first :)

btw it was patched

Nice! I didn't time it but took probably 30 minutes to get the regular ending. I love when sokoban games make use of the full map.

Holy grail in a secret room outside the map, it's pretty cool!

Great game! Got both endings. Tricky on that grail!!

I love this. I'm dumb as a rock and destined to remain a lowly peasant, but I still love it. However, it's not saving progress? Is this a bug, a feature, or a goof up with my browser?

I'm very glad that you're enjoying it!

It's a bit of a PuzzleScript quirk that it doesn't remember progress within a level unfortunately. However, I've now updated the game to include checkpoints after each section, so when you come back to the page and select Continue it shouldn't take you too far back from where you were up to! Hopefully that helps :)

Thank you! I'll probably be screaming for help later, but I like what you did here.
